A joint All-Party Parliamentary Group report found that 27 per cent of African visa requests made in the two years to September 2018 were refused, compared to the overall refusal rate of 12 per cent. For Middle Eastern and Asian applicants the figure was 11 per cent, while those from North America stood at 4 per cent.
