Barr privately ordered re-examination of Michael Flynn's case, US officials say

Barr privately ordered re-examination of Michael Flynn's case, US officials sayAttorney General William Barr is ordering a re-examination of several high-profile cases, including that of former national security adviser Michael Flynn, US officials briefed on the matter say, in a move that could bring fresh scrutiny of the political motives behind actions at the Justice Department.
AG William Barr is only doing what's right for Donald Trump instead of what's right for America. Last year, Barr turned to another US attorney, John Durham of Connecticut, to review the origins of the Russia investigation. That has since turned into a criminal probe, and is said to be examining elements of the US intelligence agencies' role in the Russia investigation. William Barr needs to be disbarred. And so should Rudy and Nunes. Any other lawyer except ones working for lawless Donny would be. Gaetz has already been censured by the Florida Bar for tweeting about Michael Cohen's parents. Former Justice Department lawyers are pressing for Barr to step down. More than 1,100 former prosecutors and officials who served in Republican and Democratic administrations signed an open letter condemning the president and the attorney general over the Stone case. But the current form of the GOP being shameless, they cannot be shamed into resigning or stepping down. Trump has shown them that they can wait out complaints and nothing will happen. This action should further influence the public to push for an impeachment of Barr. Which might also be unsuccessful, but would put his shittiness in the spotlight for the American people to judge. America has to end the tradition of not prosecuting predecessors. Members of the Bush administration who were pretty obviously guilty of lying to Congress about WMDs, of rendition of international citizens to be held indefinitely without trial, of torture, of warrantless data collection, etc. should have been prosecuted as soon as President Obama took office even though Republicans would have cried foul. What we're seeing now is people in power acting without fear of consequence. Barr will never be impeached, he will never be investigated and tried on the evidence. His reputation is ruined among those on the left, but those on the right don't care that he's corrupt. President Sanders, or Biden or Buttigeig or whatever, should direct prosecutors to pursue any appropriate investigations of possible crimes which took place within the Trump administration, because this is only going to keep happening until people know there are consequences. It's the same way good parents raise children, to give them consistent and fair boundaries. Let the Republicans whine about accountability all they want, they've been disingenuous so long that what they say ultimately doesn't matter.
