Michael Flynn asked to withdraw his guilty plea to lying to federal agents, two weeks before he was scheduled to be sentenced, in a further deterioration of his relations with the U.S. Justice Department. Flynn said he’s making the move because of the “government’s bad faith, vindictiveness and breach of the plea agreement.” According to Flynn, prosecutors demanded that he admit to knowingly signing a false Foreign Agents Registration Act registration form, which he claims wasn’t true.  Seems to me Flynn was the one who broke the agreement. And filing a motion to withdraw his plea does not automatically mean that it is granted as the judge must approve his withdrawing of the plea. Let's not forget that he pleaded guilty more than two years ago. The standard for withdrawal is high, so it's highly unlikely it will be granted. Flynn wants to go to trial. His trial would bring forth the charges that were held back and prosecutors may recommend the most severe penalty allowed by law for him. Everything will be used against him and his son's protection will go poof. He's apparently groveling for a pardon. How will Manafort and Stone take that?
