Kizito Mihigo was arrested in 2014 and sentenced to 10 years in prison for allegedly conspiring to assassinate Rwanda's dictator Paul Kagame. He was a prominent gospel singer. His arrest came after releasing a song that was critical of Paul Kagame. The song was immediately prohibited by Rwandan authorities. He was released in 2018 following a theatrical presidential pardon. He was subsequently arrested again in February 2020 under allegations of trying to leave the country illegally. Apparently, Rwandans are living in a police state that restrains their freedom of movement. On February 17, he was found hanging in his cell while under police custody. A signature killing that follows a pattern of how Kagame eliminates his opponents. He was the founder of the Kizito Mihigo Peace Foundation, also called KMP Foundation, a Rwandan non-governmental organization whose main objective is to promote peace and reconciliation among Rwandans after the 1994 genocide. One of Kizito Mihigo's torturers, Theos Badege, is said to be on the ramparts of Interpol in Lyon, France. Badege must report to a court and be treated properly -- like a murderer.

Image Paul Kagame's death squad. These are the people who decide over death or life of opponents to his brutal regime.
