<b>Kenya adopts first malaria vaccine</b>The vaccine will be introduced across malaria-endemic parts of western Kenya near Lake Victoria.
A breakthrough achieved by the Kenya Medical Research Institute. Malaria kills about 400,000 people globally. The health ministry said 120,000 Kenyan children were expected to be vaccinated under the pilot programme.
