A sleek Japanese restaurant in Angel, with concrete walls and lots of dark wood.

Great Japanese place. The staff were lovely trying to find us a table without booking. We went for a wander and waited for their call to tell us a table freed up.It was definitely worth the wait. The dishes were beautifully presented and were delicious. I especially loved the tuna.We will definitely be back!

I ordered a delivery from this place and it was quite nice. The most delightful and recommended dish I would suggest is the curry rice. I ordered a chicken Katsu curry and it indeed is the best I had in London so far. But for the sushi and soup, they are not that well done and not as same as shown in the menu.

Tucked away in a side street near Angel, Tanakatsu offers quality Japanese food in a casual modern stylish setting. Authentic taste coupled with good dish sizes, this place is great value for money for Japanese food in London. The interior design is simple and warm. All staff are very friendly. I also highly recommend the chocolate mochi dessert.

Superb Japanese cuisine with excellent teriyaki and sushi options. Every piece on the plate is delicately made and tastes really good. We even got a complimentary tea at the end.
